The Volleyball team celebrates after their victory vs. LeBoeuf.

After losing only one regular season game last year and a heart breaking loss to CASH in the second round of the playoffs, the GM Volleyball team is off to a 6-0 start under first year head coach Laura Stippich.

“She cares about us and has a passion to win,” junior Mia Schaller said about her new coach.

The volleyball team is coming off a huge week after shutout wins over McDowell and long time rival Fort Leboeuf, giving them back to back wins over their rival dating back to last year’s regular season thriller on senior night.

Junior Maddie Soboleski was “proud of [her] teammates that even though the games were close, [they] were able to take care of business in the end.”

Forthcoming for the Lancers, they are favored to win their next two games against Central Tech on Thrusday the 29th and Conneaut, OH on Tuesday, October 4.

For only one of two seniors, Sara Woods hopes that her and her teammates “go to states” in order to make her senior year great.
