12 Things to do Over The 12 Days of Break

With Christmas break quickly approaching, you can feel the excitement in the atmosphere all around the building. So here is a list of activities to ensure that you have a fun, fantastic break.

On the first day of break… go hunting for zombies. Zombie Scavengers is a virtual reality game where you team up with your friends or family to collect supplies and to solve puzzles to help you survive the zombie apocalypse. This activity is located on North Park Row in Erie, PA. This is a great and fun way to start of your break. Plus, Groupon has a coupon for this VR experience to bring the price down to $15 per team!

On the second day of break… go ice skating at Family First. This is a cheap and cute winter date idea. Open skate is from 2:30 pm – 4:20 pm on Sundays.

One the third day of break… head over to the Kilted Kiln in Edinboro and paint a piece of pottery. This is a peaceful way to spend your Monday afternoon, whether it be with family or friends.

One the fourth day of break…  it’s Christmas! Whether your family does have an annual breakfast or dinner, you might find yourself having a few hours to kill. What better to escape the hectic atmosphere of home than to go to the movies! Some new movies that Tinseltown will be showing on Christmas Day are Aquaman, Bumblebee, and Mary Poppins Returns!   

On the fifth day of break…we need to escape from all the celebrations, so where better to go than an escape room? Grab a few friends and head up to Escape Game in Erie!

On the sixth day of break… get out to the Tom Ridge Center on Presque Isle. Enjoy the amazing view from the top of the observation tower and head to the IMAX theater to experience nature like never before.

On the seventh day of break… make the short drive to the Asbury Woods Hiking trail for its Winter Wonderland fest. Here you can go on a nighttime hiking lit up with magical Christmas lights.

On the eighth day of break… go to the Erie Art Museum to experience modern art at its finest.

On the ninth day of break…  go skiing, snowboarding, or tubing at Mount Pleasant. If you have never been and you want to learn, Mount Pleasant offers lessons for all age groups.

On the tenth day of break… it’s New Year’s Eve! If you’re are not headed to a party, an Erie Otters game is the perfect activity for sports lovers of all ages. The game starts at 6 pm on Dec. 31.

On the eleventh day of break… start the new year off with a good time at Round One in the mall for all day fun with arcade games and bowling.

On the twelfth day of break… go and enjoy the last day in the warmth of Splash Lagoon! Whether you enjoy the wave pool or the lazy river, by the time you get home you will be ready to jump in bed and sleep before school the next day!

Some fun at home activities that can easily be worked into any schedule is snowball fights, sledding, and board games.
